Happy Birthday Ellen!!!

Some of you may know that yesterday was Ellen's birthday! I spent all day with her trying to make her day wonderful!  First, we woke up and went to breakfast at the Waffle Shop with Julena and Nicole!

As we sat down and began ordering and talking, like four normal people at a restaraunt do, every so often a new server would come over, look at Ellen and start laughing.  They continued to ask if I was serious about taking Ellen everywhere I go, and I told them my story and gave them a card with the blog information on it.  It was a great feeling knowing that during thier stressful day, me and Ellen were able to bring them joy and a smile for just a moment.

After breakfast, we had to go to Walmart to get a birthday cake for Ellen.  Unfortunately, they didn't have a vegan cake, and boy oh boy did Ellen get mad! She started throwing cake all over the store, she was biting chunks of bread off and then spitting it on the floor, and then she got up on the counter and was dancing.  By then, the police were already called and Ellen was taken into custody......JUST KIDDING!! But Ellen did get to sit in the backseat of the cop car as a present from our local police! :)

 

Once we got home from our adventures, I put the finishing touches on Ellen's cake and we made an EPIC music video!!

Lately, I have been getting more and more questions as to why I am doing the blog and/or why I take pictures with a fake Ellen.  As much as I really want to be a guest on her show to share my appreciation for her and tell her how great of a person she is, it is to do what she does everyday.  The world is a cruel place sometimes, and Ellen has her show on everyday in order to bring joy, happiness, and laughter to people's lives for 1 hour a day.  I feel I am doing a similar task when I walk around with Ellen and post pictures with her.  Even if you think I am weird for doing this, I knwo you crack a smile and maybe even giggle because it is weird and oddly funny.  Ellen and I bring you a spark of joy for a small second in your day, and all I ask is for you to share my blog so that this joy can be spread all around the world one day.  It takes one second to push the share button on Facebook, and that is all I ask.  I have Facebook, and I see what you guys like and share and sometimes it is more random than me and my giant Ellen Head! So please, in order to bring a little happiness for Ellen's birthday, share my post! :) Thank you!

Ellen is made an Honorary Camp Adventure Member!!

On Tuesday night, Camp Adventure had our first official meeting of the year to get prepared for the year ahead of us.  I decided to bring Ellen along so she wasn't home alone.  Turns out everyone in Camp was excited to see Ellen tag along.  Megan, our lead trainer at Sac/Davis, informed me that Ellen would be an honorary member of Camp Adventure this Spring and she was welcome to perform in skits, blitz and color group presentations.  The majority of you probably have NO IDEA what any of that means, but as the semester progresses, you better believe there will be some hilarious videos of Ellen performing in her Camp Adventure jacket with her new friends!!

Ellen met all of the vets at Sac/Davis and she had a blast hanging out and taking a couple of pictures!

I bet you didn't know that Ellen is a HUGE 49er fan!

So this last Sunday was the huge NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons...and guess what!??? The Niners WON!! But that's besides the point! What I discovered is that Ellen is a HUGE Niner fan and would do anything to support them.  Ellen and I decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings in Folsom with Julena and Nicole where we cheered very loud for our team and even performed a halftime dance for the restaurant.  :)

 

Ellen was a huge hit after our halftime performance and everyone wanted to take a picture with her! It was not a surprise that all the ladies wanted to give Ellen a smooch...I mean look at that face!

Ellen likes to party...

Last night we had our official housewarming party and Ellen was a BIG hit!! First, she whipped out ALL of the alcohol and proceeded to make herself a Jack and Coke!

 

 

Then, she insisted on taking a picture with Chad and Sam, the newlywed couple of the evening. 

 

 

 

After a few drinks, Ellen was ready to play a round of beer pong with Berto and Emerson.  Of course, with her fantastic hand-eye coordination, Ellen dominated and won every round for the rest of the evening. 

 

 

 

After beer pong, Ellen was feeling a little frisky...as was Patrick!!

 

Finally, Ellen and I finished the night off with a baseball hat on backwards and some very fun memories of our first house party!!

 

She's always got my back!!

Bringing in the New Year Right!

Ellen and I spent New Year's Eve together playing games with friends and drinking a little bit...ok kind of a lot a bit! We started out strong....and finished around 11:30! It was a great night though full of laughter and good company!

During the week, Ellen and I helped our roomies pack up the apartment and move into our beautiful new house! Ellen had a lot of fun loading things in and out of the moving truck and then napping with our helpers! She also met a star player on the Cal Football team!

She got stuck in the truck....just kidding!
