Hi friends! I am sooo so so sorry that I have not posted in a while! After Spring Break, I was super busy with teaching and finishing up my, hopefully, last semester in college for a while. So here is the latest update on how Ellen and I have been!
Our first stop on our spring break adventure was the Garth Brooks concert in Sacramento! Ellen demanded 2 Pina Coladas, and Garth delivered! After he saw our sign in the crowd and pointed it out, the very next song he played was "2 Pina Coladas"!

Bright
and early the next morning, we embarked on our 6 hour car drive down to
LA where we would hopefully land some Ellen tickets!
However, we got hungry before we stopped at the hotel, so we stopped by a Diner, Drive-In and Dive restaurant known for their German Brats!
After going to lunch, we headed to Hollywood Blvd. to see all of the stars!!
Michael Jackson!
We may not have met Ellen on our trip, but we certainly hung out with her star for some time!
SO EXCITED!!
Laying around on her star!
It took us a few tries to get the perfect selfie with Ellen and her star!
JLo
Jen Aniston...AKA Ellen's BFF
He's Marky Mark and we're the Funky Bunch!
After seeing Garth in person, it was pretty cool seeing his star!
Luke Bryan was happy to join the party too!
How could we not stop at Adam Sandler's star?
After a long day of driving and walking, we headed to the hotel to watch Ellen!
Wishful thinking! I was hoping that if I slept with this on, then it would become a reality the next day!
Early
the next morning, we met up with my dear friend Carly and went on a
fantastic Warner Bros. Studio VIP Tour. If you haven't done this, I
highly recommend it! We had a great tour guide who did all he could to
get us on The Ellen Show set! Thanks Danny!
Riding around in the VIP cart!
Dun nu nu nu Dun nu nu nu BATMAN!!
Ellen got to experience the Sorting Hat! She got selected for Grifindor!
Even though we weren't able to get in, we kept our spirits high and we will just keep trying!
We
headed to Big Boy's Burgers where we ate our sorrows and reminisced in
the fun we had earlier in the day! We came up with new plans and plots
on how to get on the show....don't worry...It's all perfectly legal!
We
spent the rest of the day celeb searching in the hottest spots, but
unfortunately, all we found was a clock that said New Orleans, Joe
Jonas' Restaurant (no Joe though) and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream!
After a long trip home, we headed to cheer practice a few days later. Thanks to the team for helping put Ellen in a 2-2-1!
OMG it's Ellen in the sky!!
And
just recently, my friend Reggie took me and Ellen to hang out at the
Sacramento King's Arena!! Here is me and Ellen just kickin' back!!
The
day we got back from LA, Julena and Rachel made it their goal to get me
on Ellen! They spend hours hashtagging Ellen's pictures with
#janiseandellen, they write in weekly, and they do all they can to help
me out. The Monday we got back, Julena received a call from Ian from
the Web Department, and she spent 25 minutes talking to him about me and
my quest to meet Ellen! Not only did she share that I am a huge fan,
but also that I just want to spread joy to the world, and that is the
real reason I carry her around! The next day, Ian called me, and I spent
about 10 minutes telling him about me and my life. Unfortunately, I
don't have an enormous debt to pay off and I am doing fairly well
financially, so I don't know if I will be able to be a guest because I
am not in need of something. Ellen is such a kind person. Everyday she
gives away thousands of dollars away to people who are in desperate
need, and I would never want to take money that I do not need when there
are so many people in our country suffering from poverty. Honestly, I
want to meet Ellen so that I could thank her for making me smile
everyday after I come home from work and am exhausted to the point of
tears. My job is hard! Watching kids suffer on a daily basis from the
harsh and cruel world they live in is exhausting, and their behavior
suffers which in turn makes my job twice as hard. I could easily move
to a different school, but then I would not be able to make the
connections that I have made this year, and I honestly don't think I
would be making a difference in the world. My students are everything
to me, but when they stress me out, I need my 1 hour of Ellen to just
decompress and laugh! I hope that you will laugh at this blog and help
me fulfill my dream by simply sharing it with your friends. You never
know who might need a laugh, and this just might be what the doc
prescribed! Be kind to one another,
Janise
